“本土電影”怎么說？

　　Chinese authorities have ordered the 2D version of Avatar pulled from screens across the country, reportedly, part of the reason is to reduce competition for Chinas homegrown films .

　　中國已經下令在全國停映2D版《阿凡達》，據說部分原因是為了幫助本土電影減少競爭壓力。

　　在上面的報道中，homegrown film 就是本土電影，也就是國產電影。Homegrown指本地或本國出產的，例如：homegrown tomatoes(本地產的西紅柿)。另外，homegrown還可以指有本地特色的，土生土長的，例如：homegrown literature(鄉土文學)。

　　現在許多國家都注重發展native culture (本土文化)，各地方也大力發展local economy (本土經濟)，建立homegrown company (本土公司)，我國去年為了對抗甲流，還自行研制了homegrown vaccine (本土疫苗)。
