"For the birds"難道是"給鳥的"？

周末和一個外國朋友出去吃飯，剛吃一口，她就滿臉嫌棄地說了句 It's really for the birds.心想，這東西難道已經難吃到要直接拿去喂鳥了？這樣說話未免也太刻薄了吧~

后來才知道，for the birds 其實是“糟糕的”的意思。

那么問題來了，“糟糕的，不好的”，除了“bad，terrible”你還知道該如何表達嗎？

Awful 糟糕的，可怕的

The last six months have been awful for her.

最近六個月對她來說相當痛苦。

Dreadful 糟糕透頂的

We’ve had some dreadful weather lately.

Lousy 極壞的

The food there was lousy, I was about to throw up.

Worthless 一無是處的，沒用的

His parents had made him feel worthless.
