牛津實用英語語法:110 附加疑問
這是一些句子后面的簡略的附加成分，用于征求對方的同意或肯定。
A 在否定的陳述之后用普通的疑問式：
You didnt see him，did you?
你沒有見到他，對嗎?
Ann cant swim，can she?
安不會游泳，是嗎?
That isnt Tom，is it?
那不是湯姆，是嗎?
在肯定的陳述之后用否定疑問式：
Peter helped you，didnt he?
彼得幫了你的忙，是嗎?
Mary was there，wasnt she?
瑪麗那時在那里，對嗎?
附加疑問中的否定動詞一般都要用縮略形式。
不規則的用法如：
Im late， arent I?
我遲到了，是嗎?
注意lets帶的附加問句中用助動詞shall：
Lets go，shall we?
咱們走吧，好嗎?
附加疑問的主語總是用代詞。
B 否定陳述后的附加疑問舉例：
Peter doesnt smoke，does he?
彼得不吸煙，是嗎?
Ann isnt studying music，is she?

注意：凡是包含neither，no(形容詞)，none，no one，nobody，nothing，scarcely，barely，hardly，hardly ever，seldom等詞的陳述句，都應看做是否定陳述，后面接一個普通的附加疑問：
No salt is allowed，is it?
不許吃鹽，是嗎?
Nothing was said，was it?
什么也沒說，是嗎?
Peter hardly ever goes to parties， does he?
彼得很少去參加社交聚會，對嗎?
當句子的主語是anyone，anybody，no one，nobody，none，neither時，在附加疑問中用they：
I dont suppose anyone will volunteer，will they?
我想不會有人自愿參加，對嗎?
No one would object，would they?
沒有人會反對，是嗎?
Neither of them complained，did they?
他們倆誰也沒有抱怨，對嗎?
C 肯定陳述后的附加疑問
在一般現在時的附加疑問中用dont/doesnt?形式，在一般過去時的附加疑問中用didnt?形式：
Edward lives here，doesnt he?
愛德華住在這里，是嗎?
You found your passport，didnt you?
你找到你的護照了，對嗎?
在其他各時態之后，否定的附加疑問中只用助動詞：
Marys coming tomorrow，isnt she?
瑪麗明天來，是嗎?
Peters heard the news，hasnt he?
彼得聽到那消息了，對嗎?
要注意縮略形式s相當于is/has而d相當于had/would：
Peterd written before you phoned，hadnt he?
彼得在你打電話之前已經寫信了，對嗎?

Youd better change your wet shoes，hadnt you?

主語是everybody，everyone，somebody，someone等詞時，在附加疑問中可用代詞they來替代：

Someone had recognized him，hadnt they?
有人認出了他，對嗎?
否定的附加疑問可以不用縮略形式，但這時請注意語序是不同的：
You saw him，did you not?
你見到他了，是嗎?
這個形式不常用。
D 語調
使用附加疑問的時候，說話人通常不需要對方提供情況，但卻希望得到同意，因此這些附加疑問通常與陳述句的語調相同，用降調。
然而，說話人有時的確想得到一些情況。他還不很清楚他所作的陳述是否真實，要求加以證實。在這種情況下附加疑問就要用升調，而且第一句中的重要的詞要重讀，通常這個詞的音調也上升了。
