牛津實用英語語法:108 簡略答語中的助動詞
需要用yes或no回答的問題，如Do you smoke?(你抽煙嗎?)或 Can you ride a bicycle?(你會騎自行車嗎?)這類問題，在回答時只要說yes或no，再加上助動詞即可。如果原來的主語是一個名詞則可用代詞來代替：
Do you smoke?
Yes， I do.
你抽煙嗎?
是的，我抽煙。(不說 Yes，I smoke。)
Is that Ann?
Yes，it is./No，it isnt.
那是安嗎?
是的。/不，那不是。
Did the twins go?
Yes，they did./No，they didnt.
那一對雙胞胎去了嗎?
是的，去了。/不，他們沒去。
Will there be an exam?
Yes，there will./No，there wont.
要進行考試嗎?
是的，要考試。/不，不考試。
如果問句中有一個以上的助動詞，第一個助動詞必須出現在
答句中：
Should he have gone?
Yes，he should.
他本應去嗎?
是的，他本應去的。
如果問句中用must I/he等或need I/he等，答句應該是Yes，you/he等+must或No，you/he等+neednt：
Must I/Need I take all these pills?
Yes， you must./No， you neednt.
我必須把這些藥片都吃下去嗎?
是的，你必須。/不，你不必都吃下去。
不用助動詞而只用yes或no的回答不如這些回答那么有禮貌。
