Affect

Effect
The word effect has several meanings. It can mean outcome, consequence or appearance. effect詞義有很多，可以表示結(jié)果，影響，作用，效果。
1. We warned them, but with little or no effect.
我們警告過他們，但完全沒用。
2. The medicine will soon take effect.
這種藥很快就會見效。
3. New controls come into effect next month.
新的管理條例下個月起開始生效。
4. The new system has had a disastrous effect on productivity.
新制度已對生產(chǎn)力造成了災(zāi)難性的影響。

affect與effect的區(qū)別，同advise與advice的區(qū)別一樣，主要在于詞性的不同。affect為動詞，effect主要用作名詞。effect也可以用作動詞，不過這種用法多用于商務(wù)寫作中。
