2024年中考英語詞組辨析：close/ shut

　　Ⅰ.close用作動詞表示“關、閉”的意思時，通常僅指把開著的東西關閉起來。它還往往是較為正式的用語。如：

　　① Did you close all the doors and windows? 你把所有的門窗都關了嗎?

　　② Close your eyes. 把眼睛閉上。

　　③ Do you mind if I close this window? 我把這窗子關起來好嗎?

　　Ⅱ.shut的意思是“關、關閉”，常常可與close通用，但它比close意味較強。比如說to close a door or gate時，僅指把門關上;而說to shut a door or gate時，則可以進而指用門閂、插銷或其它東西把門關住。此外，shut 還往往不如close正式。如：

　　① They shut the doors and windows. 他們關住了門窗。

　　② Shut the box. 把箱子關起來。

　　③ Shut the door after you. 隨手關門。
