雅思閱讀Summary題型的過關技巧

　　Summary題也是雅思閱讀中較常見的一種題目。關于它的做題技巧很多，本文從介詞的角度討論summary題的做題技巧。做summary題時，在根據數字時間等關鍵詞定位原文以后，還要根據空格前后的詞匯確定答案，巧妙運用介詞是一個很好的方法。

　　一、 基本方法

　　如果空格前后為介詞結構，回原文找介詞結構。

　　二、 出題形式

　　介詞在原文可能是題目中的原詞，也可能是題目中介詞的同義結構。

　　例一，

　　This was followed by a lull, but in early May the top of the mountain rose by . People were evacuated from around the mountain. Finally, on May 18th at, Mount St. Helens exploded.

　　原文：Then, in early May, the northern flank of the mountain bulged, and the summit rose by 500 feet.

　　On May 18, at 8.32 in the morning, Mount St. Helens blew its top, literally.

　　對于第一空，根據early May定位原文，再根據介詞by確定答案之一為500 feet;對于第二空，根據May 18定位原文，再根據介詞at確定答案之一為8.32。

　　例二

　　According to his biographer, James Boswell, Johnsons principal achievement was to bringto the English language. As a reward for his hard work, he was granted a pension by the king.

　　原文：It is the cornerstone of Standard English, an achievement which, in James Boswells words, conferred stability on the language of his country.

　　根據James Boswell、achievement等定位原文，再根據介詞結構bringto回原文找介詞結構：conferred stability on，由于兩個介詞結構屬于同義結構，那么題目中介詞to之前的答案應為原文介詞on之前的部分：stability
