1.Where do you come from? 你是哪國人?
問對方是什么地方人。come from表示來源或籍貫。也可說：Where are you from? 在第7課中出現過類似的句子。
2.What's the climate like in your country? 你們國家的氣候怎么樣?
句中like是介詞，不是動詞，它的賓語是 What。又如：What's the weather like in spring? climate指某一地區數年間的天氣情況;weather是指某個特定的時間內晴、雨、風、雪變化。對于這類問題的回答可以是 It's very pleasant(很好)或 It rains sometimes(有時下雨)。這里的it均指天氣。
3.It's often windy in March. 3月里常常刮風。
表示在某個月份里通常用介詞in。類似用in的時間短語課文中還有 in April(在4月)，in June(在 6月)，in September(在 9月)等等。
often(經常)，always(總是，老是)，sometimes(有時)都是課文中出現的表示非確定頻度的副詞。這些副詞一般用來回答用how often 提問的問題。

我們把What…like? 這一句型用于詢問事物的狀況，例如天氣、氣候等：

或詢問人物或事物的外觀或特征：
What's your brother like? 你兄弟是個什么樣子?
