　　Ⅰ. beat “打贏”“戰勝”。用于比賽時，后接賓語是戰勝對手，表示“贏了某人”。如：

　?、?Li Lei beat all the runners in the 100-metre race. 李磊在百米賽跑中贏了所有的對手。

　?、?We are sure to beat them.我們肯定會贏他們。

　?、? win “贏得;獲勝”， 用作及物動詞，后接賓語是表示某種比賽的名詞或戰爭，而不是參加比賽的對手。如：

　?、?We won the basketball game. 我們贏得了籃球賽。

　　② Who won the race? 誰贏得了賽跑?

　?、? defeat “戰勝;贏得”與win 一樣，較正式，后接賓語時與beat一樣，是表示人或代表群體的名詞或代詞，間或接表事物的名詞或代詞。 如：

　　Our class defeated / beat theirs in the basket-ball match yesterday. 昨天我們班在籃球賽中贏了他們班。
