Lantern Festival

New Year is the biggest festival for Chinese people. After about half a month, there is a traditional festival, it is the Lantern Festival, which is also important. The first round moon day in the New Year is special. People continue to celebrate the New Year and enjoy the time with their families.

新年對中國人來說是最大的節(jié)日。在這之后約半個月，有一個傳統(tǒng)的節(jié)日——元宵節(jié)，這也是很重要的。新年的第一輪圓月是特別的。人們繼續(xù)慶祝新年，享受與家人在一起的時光。

The coming of the Lantern Festival is various. Some people said that it is related to Buddha. When the Buddhas meditated, they need light in front of them, so the light can drive away a monster for people. Today, in some areas, people light up lanterns to beg for a son from god. No matter what the story is, the traditional festival is favored by people and the government pays special attention to remind this tradition.

元宵節(jié)的來源有多種說法。有些人說它與佛有關(guān)。當(dāng)佛陀冥想時，他們需要點燈，所以光對于人們來說可以趕走怪物。今天，在一些地區(qū)，人們會點亮燈，向上帝祈求要一個兒子。無論故事是怎么樣的，傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日都受到人們的喜愛，政府也特別重視這一傳統(tǒng)。

There are many activities on Lantern Festival, and the most traditional game is the riddle. People can read some riddles that are written in the lanterns. They can get prizes if they know the answers. I love riddle so much, because when I figure out the answers, I will be very proud of myself, at the same time, I can learn some funny knowledge. 

元宵節(jié)上有很多活動，最傳統(tǒng)的游戲是猜謎語。人們可以猜寫在側(cè)邊的謎語，如果猜中答案，就可以獲得獎品。我非常喜歡猜謎語，因為當(dāng)我找到答案的時候，我會為自己感到自豪，同時，我也能學(xué)到一些有趣的知識。

【第二篇】

The Lantern Festival

After the Spring Festival, here comes the Lantern Festival. In China, people celebrate it on the lunar calendar fifteen. It symbolizes the short rest has come to an end after the spring festival; people need to get back to work with their best wishes in the brand-new year. We all celebrated this festival with plenty of food and fun. The most important and traditional food on the Lantern Festival is Tang-yuan. With sweet and soft rice outside and peanuts or sesame inside, this little rice ball stand for the happy reunion, and the best wish for the whole families. Apart from having dinner with parents and relatives, there are also lots of activities on that day. The Lantern shows as well as guessing riddles are part of the Lantern Festival; and the most interesting part of the show is that the riddles are written on the Lantern. After dinner, the whole families go to the lantern fair, to enjoy the happiness in this moment.

In every city, there are always a main street known for its lantern fair, on that special day, the street will become as bright as daylight in the night with myriads of lanterns and streams of spectators. At this moment, the happiness in the heart is beyond all description. By watching various lanterns, eating sweet Tang Yuan, and hanging out with the people we love, thinking of the bright future in front of us. It’s worth everything.

元宵節(jié)

春節(jié)過后，就迎來了元宵節(jié)。在中國，人們在正月十五慶祝元宵節(jié)。這一天意味著短暫的新年假日結(jié)束了。在這新的一年，人們會帶著最好的祝愿回到他們的工作崗位上。在這個節(jié)日里，吃的玩的都是十分豐富而且有趣的。湯圓，是最重要也是最傳統(tǒng)的食品——外面包裹著甜軟的糯米皮，而里面填滿了花生或芝麻餡料。這個小小的糯米球象征著闔家團(tuán)圓，及對家庭最美好的祝愿。除了和父母親戚一起吃飯之外，還有許許多多的活動等著你。看花燈、猜謎語是元宵節(jié)的傳統(tǒng)組成部分。最有趣的是謎語都寫在花燈上。晚飯過后，一家人就高高興興的去大街上看花燈，猜謎語，享受著這幸福的時光。

在每個城市，都有條大街作為花燈展的主會場。在這個特別的日子，各式各樣的巨大花燈發(fā)出像白晝一樣的光芒，照亮了賞燈的人們，也照亮了漆黑的夜。在這一刻，任何言語都不能表達(dá)心中的喜悅之情。賞花燈，猜謎語，吃湯圓，和我們愛的人在一起，想著美好的未來，所有的一切，都值得了。
